Port to Pobeña Stage

• Km 0. Portugalete (All services)

Portugalete puts an end to the urban world of the last days. This situation only increases the desire to revisit the coast, although we will still have to wait 11 kilometres to tread the beach again. From the hostel of pilgrims we go out in front of the street Casilda Iturrizar. We continue in front of Carlos VII Street, where the subway is located, and without loss we go down to the bike lane (bidegorri). This route almost exclusively stars this ninth stage. As soon as a road node and the A-8 are saved above, yellow arrows point to an alternative path entering Ortuella. In the guide we follow the route that goes through the bike path, indicated by the official wooden pole with the indication "La Arena 10 km" (Km 2). The crossing is placid but very monotonous. • Km 4.3. Nocedal

To reach Pobeña, you have to follow the left, crossing a basin and a stretch of beach to reach the bridge over the Barbadun River.
