Sobrado dos Monxes to Arzúa

The route departs from Sobrado on the road to Arzúa and leaves it on the left in the diversion of Pousada, Nogueira and Touches. The first bars approach us first to the village of Vilarchao, belonging to the parish of San Pedro de Porta, and then a forest trail to O Peruxil and O Castro, small towns of the parish of San Lourenzo de Carelle, whose church is next to the Camino (Km 4.3). Rushing through the last forests of the Camino del Norte we go through more cores of Carelle, such as Casanova and Madelos. Finally we end up with the ever-tedious asphalt of the AC-234. We progress through it to Corredoiras, the first population of Concello de Boimorto and with a bar and shop (Km 8.8).

Immediately, after passing through Corredoiras, we carefully crossed the AC-840 and went to the parish of Boimil, with pilgrims hostel of the Xunta opened in summer 2012. We take the road back to Boimorto (Km 11). We cross this population with all the services and at the height of the Health Center we turn left by the road to Sendelle and Arzúa. From the same Health Center there is also the possibility of taking the so-called Lavacolla variant (see section observations). If we go to Arzúa we continue along a road for three kilometers to the center and parish of Santa María de Sendelle. (Km 14).

We step out on the road and then we take the left hand crossing to Vilar. We are dealing with asphalt through some villages belonging to the parish of Sendelle, including O Vilar and As Galiñeiras. Then we enter with the provincial road at the height of the parish of Viladavil, the nucleus already subject to Arzúa, and at this point we leave the asphalt and continue on a track of concentration that advances parallel to the road mentioned above. After passing several places of the Concello we arrived at O Viso and then entered Arzúa, capital of the Concello of the same name, kingdom of the French Way, of the summer massification and provided with seven hostels of pilgrims. Something unusual on the Camino del Norte, which already concludes and which this very night, surely, we will already miss (Km 21,5).
